You can also use Zato Connect to convert almost any HDMI or USB UVC source to a format you can send directly to Microsoft Teams, Slack, Zoom and other conferencing software via its universally compatible USB UVC output.

CONNECTIVITY
Stream from Anywhere
Connect to the internet using Wi-Fi 5 or Ethernet (via USB-C adapter) via your home/work network or cellular hotspot. Zato Connect is an ideal solution for live streaming in the field, the studio, or practically anywhere else. Mount it directly on a DSLR or mirrorless camera, but it’s equally at home next to a multi-input switcher, such as our AtomX Cast, or a gaming console for a fully computerless streaming workflow. You can power it for hours from a single NP-F battery or use mains power via USB-C PD.

PORTABLE MONITORING
A switcher’s new best friend
Use Zato Connect as a portable program monitor and streaming encoder and make it your multi-input switcher’s new best friend. There’s no need for a heavy laptop at every gig: Zato can handle many of its tasks with a much smaller footprint. It fits into any camera bag and comes in super light at 245g.

MULTIPLE I/O
HDMI & USB UVC.
Even though it’s incredibly compact, Zato Connect has input and output ports for both HDMI and USB UVC. It accepts a wide variety of video sources and can output a live stream – or appear to a computer as a webcam source. It also comes with a 3.5mm audio jack for mic or line inputs, and you can monitor audio via a dedicated headphone output.

RECORDING
Record and Restream
You can record an HDMI or Webcam input or your ongoing livestream or presentation as a backup. Recordings are to an SD card in the bandwidth and storage-friendly H.264 format. You can then use these recordings to stream “as live”. It’s the best of all worlds.

AUDIO MIXER
Put Audio in the Mix
Zato Connect includes an audio mixer, which can be used to adjust and combine audio signals from the 3.5mm analog input with the embedded audio from HDMI and USB UVC sources. Each channel can be adjusted independently and mixed down to a single stereo track for a livestream, recording, or video presentation.

PRESENTATION CHOICES
Configurable Picture-in-Picture
Zato Connect supports Picture-in-Picture (PiP) with easy-to-use presets, but also gives you all the controls you need to make on-the-fly adjustments to your PiP configuration, including PiP size, PiP position, and a PiP source selector.

DELIVERY
Go Live or As Live!
Each livestream can be recorded as local H.264 backup to an SD card. With the ability to combine recorded sources with live content, it’s possible to take one of these recordings and stream the content “as live” with Zato Connect. This opens lots of creative opportunities and adds value to any stream or video presentation.
