Big. Bright. Beautiful.
One monitor for all
The Shinobi 7 can be used in the brightest environments to monitor signals up to 4Kp60 via HDMI or 2Kp60 via 3G-SDI. An ideal monitor for directors, DPs and focus pullers, and as a program or preview display for video switchers.
Ready for the big screen
Large-screen TVs and cinema displays show films in glorious detail. Full-frame camera sensors capture more information than ever before – often with extremely narrow depth of field. So there’s never been a better time to upgrade your on-camera monitoring so you can confidently capture video that’s perfect for appreciative audiences. Take visual control over composition, focus, exposure and HDR settings by putting a big screen on your camera.
Camera control
at your
fingertips
Directly control your camera using the intuitive touchscreen of the Shinobi 7, designed to give you fast access to the most critical camera features. Focus on the image while you make dynamic adjustments to iris, white balance, shutter angle and ND.
With the optional Atomos USB-C to serial cable, support is available out the box for the Z Cam E2 series camera, providing direct control of all menu configurations. The additional USB and RJ45 control ports on the Shinobi 7 also provide support for future developments, as more options are added for touch screen camera control.
10+ stops of dynamic range
The Shinobi 7 screen displays a stunning 10+ stops of dynamic range in real time from Log/PQ/HLG signals. Combined with our unique HDR monitoring features, the Shinobi 7 simplifies shooting Log and HDR, helping you to replicate post-production workflows as you shoot. We look after the technology so you can focus on the image.
The best of AtomOS
Shinobi 7 comes with our acclaimed AtomOS platform and is packed with scopes and simple one-touch operations. Shinobi includes monitoring tools for focus, framing & exposure, including Focus Peaking, 4:1 / 2:1 / 1:1 Zoom, Zebra, False Color, Frame Guides, SMPTE Safe Area, Waveform, RGB parade, vectorscope, a new multi-view ‘Analysis’ view and a flexible 3D and 1D LUT, Profile and Preset support (upload .cube files via SD Card) and options for anamorphic desqueeze monitoring.
Built-in 3D LUT box
In addition to Shinobi 7’s Log to HDR conversions, you can also use your own custom 3D LUT to feed downstream to other devices or live feed. Load up to eight custom LUTs at any time via the SD Card Slot and instantly select between them. When using selfie mode, the large display acts as a confidence monitor that allows you to ’bake-in’ a LUT to your camera input, to achieve the desired look for your piece to camera.
Analysis mode
We understand it’s essential for you to see what you’re shooting at all times. With the Shinobi’s Analysis feature you can simultaneously view what you are shooting overlaid with a waveform, histogram or vectorscope, for a complete image overview. You can switch between the different waveform, histogram and vectorscope options on the fly, with a single touch.
Directors.
Focus Pullers.
Switchers.

One monitor,
for all.
Continuous Power
With dual battery slots you can easily hot-swap batteries during your shoot and never be caught without power. The Shinobi was designed from the ground up to optimize battery usage while monitoring, as the dual slots combine to allow you to run all day. The dedicated locking DC jack input allows you to connect to mains power on-set, and can be used with the optional DC to DTAP cable with V-lock batteries to power the Shinobi 7 in the field.
Professional I/O with Cross Conversion
With support for up to 4Kp60 via the HDMI inputs and the ability to cross-convert between 4K HDMI and 3G SDI, the Shinobi 7 fits into many different video workflows. You can, for example, cross-convert and downscale from 4K HDMI into 2K SDI out and add a LUT to the output at the same time.
Easy User Calibration
Factory calibrated for Rec.709, Shinobi 7 also supports user field calibration via the free Atomos software. With the optional USB-A or USB-C to Serial cable and Calibrite Display Pro HL / Plus HL, you can automate screen calibration to ensure accurate and reliable monitoring results.
